Do You Have A Nutrient Deficient Diet?

The major problem caused by our modern day lifestyle.

Today, in Britain alone, there are over 3 million people whose bodies are deteriorating at a rate much faster than nature intended, and this problem is getting worse year on year. It’s a problem that affects both the young and old alike, yet there is no government awareness campaign or information to inform people of its devastating effects.

A recent study by the World Health Organisation (WHO) identified that as many as 50% of adult cancers are avoidable and are a direct result of our modern day lifestyle. In fact this is a major health problem that will start to manifest itself in many of today’s chronic illnesses ranging from arthritis to heart disease and premature aging, even mental health problems including depression and Alzheimer’s.

What’s more, a recent UK government report stated that nearly 70,000 premature deaths are linked to this very same problem. And the fact is, just by making a few simple lifestyle changes we could dramatically reduce this number, but you would probably never get to hear about it from your doctor.

So what is this hidden epidemic sweeping across our nation?

Simple Malnutrition. Yes that’s right, over 3 million Britain’s today are suffering with chronic malnutrition. Their bodies are staved of the essential vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that are needed to fuel the cells that keep their body functioning optimally and free of disease.

You may be thinking; how can this be when most people are eating far too much? After all, the biggest concern today is the fact that we are fast becoming an obese nation. And yes, this is exactly right, 75 per cent of the population are now classified as clinically obese yet they lacking in nutrition!

Lacking in nutrition! Well what’s going on?

It is a fact that we are literally eating ourselves sick by consuming far too many nutrient deficient meals that are loaded with trans-fats, sugar, salt and allergy producing additives. And the reson why is because we are bombarded with adverts for so called healthy packaged meals, but how many of us actually read what it says on the label? Or think to question their health claims.

Every day we see adverts that tell us to eat more cereals because they are good for lowering cholesterol and will fight against heart disease. Yet these very same nutrient deficient products are loaded with sugar that will make us gain weight fast and may well cause diabetes. They also contain so much salt that they are actually more likely to cause us to have a heart attack!

But what most people don’t realise is that some of the additives in packaged foods will actually cause you to gain fat! They do this in two ways; first they stop your natural bodily response which tells you when you are full and so you eat more. And second, some additives are so addictive you’ll get cravings for the food, so you buy more which means you'll gain even more weight. Well I guess that’s good for manufacturers' profits, but its not necessary so good for your waist line.

In Britain today, the majority of us are now less likely to eat home prepared foods as we favour the more convenient ready made processed foods. In fact 90 per cent of our food budget goes in this direction, and then we have the convenience of our be-loved takeaways. To make matters worse, these are often eaten late at night when our bodies are going into elimination mode and do not have time to properly digest the food; it is then more likely to cause you rapid fat gain rather than nourish your body.

Malnourishment costs the NHS around £7.3 billion a year. It is now recognised as a major problem not only amongst the sick and elderly. It's also seriously affecting newborn babies, school children and adults who many believe they are eating a good healthy diet.

So can we as a society help to evade these health problems?

You know it never ceases to amaze me why people will literately spend thousands of pounds on the best peace of tin they can afford and then spend hundreds more each year to insure it and look after it in the knowledge that it will just end up in a scrap yard.

But when it comes to feeding and looking after the most important thing they have in life (being their own body and the bodies of their children). These same people will jump into their new peace of tin and drive for miles to find the cheapest junk food they can find to feed them selves. And if I suggest to them the importance of buying organic, these very same people will just laugh at me and say, we can’t afford that stuff.

I think that some where along the way we as a society will have to shift our thinking back toward reality. Instead of spending billions on new hospitals to look after the sick, what we really should be doing is spending a mere fraction of that money on educating people on how to look after their body’s so they don’t get sick.

What do we need to do today to improve our chances?

I believe the one answer that would make all the difference, would be for us to make a few simple and cost affective lifestyle changes to incorporate a healthy well balanced and nutrient rich diet back into our lives. This simple change could perform miracles on both your immediate and long term health without the use of expensive toxic medication. In fact, you could most probably sail effortlessly through life with the vitality of someone half your age and continue into old age in full possession of all your faculties and bodily functions.

Many of you at this stage may be, well shall we say a little sceptical? Probably you are thinking, if it were so simple my doctor would have told me. Well I’m afraid that’s just one of those many assumptions that we make as we go through life. The truth is, your doctor works with drugs and he learns about the possible benefits and side effects of the many different drugs from the people who make them. Unfortunately the people who make the dugs have a more pressing duty to their shareholders and that is to make them a lot of money, not to make you a lot of health.

In reality, if your body is in a good acid-alkaline balance and it has all the nutrients that it needs for optimal health, then that’s precisely what you get. Every cell in every organ of your body, including your brain and skin will have radiant health. This will transfuse throughout your whole being, every muscle, every joint and every bone in your body would be disease free.

To conclude, just consider this! Cancer can only survive in an acidic environment and that is precisely what most people have today. Their bodies are overly acidic & toxic and the main causes of this situation are their diet and the taking of toxic pharmaceutical drugs.
